The region is known for its dramatic landscapes, including mountains, snow, cold deserts, alpine meadows, and lakes. It is home to some of the highest motorable passes in the world, such as Khardung La, Marsimik La, and Chang La. Ladakh is divided into three main regions: Leh, Nubra, and Zanskar, each offering unique attractions. The area is also famous for its ancient Buddhist monasteries, which serve as pilgrimage sites and cultural centers.
